Korean Maple Hardiness

Hello All,

Just wondering anybody have any luck with growing Korean Maple in (zone 3) or at least down to zone 4. I saw numurous sources that stating the tree is hardy down to zone 3 (-40'C). I already killed on tree, and just planted another one in more shelter side for final trail.

Original seed source has been mentioned as having a very large bearing on hardiness. Presumably a similar situation to trying to grow A. rubrum seeds from Florida in Minnesota.

A specialty nursery (mail order likely) who's niche are trees for northern climes is probably the best start.
