| My wife liked a Japanese Maple in Home depot. She made my buy it. There was a sticker on the pot saying Green Lace Leap Japanese Maple. It did't have an information card. I don't know how big its going to get, how wide, if it likes sun or shade, etc.. The trunk is green. The leaves are a light green with red at tips. Please help me ID this tree. Thanks

| I am not an expert here. Maybe someone else will give you the right answer. I think is that the sticker came from other tree. This tree is not LACE LEAF. It's green japanese maple seedling. |

| This is likely the Acer Palmatum species. This is the basic green leafed japanese maple that will get to be 25 FT tall and wide. They are a great tree but will need a large space. HD tends to carry these as well as "Viridis" and "Crimson Queen". This tree will love sun until noon and afternoon shade. It will also like an organic rich soil and cannot completely dry out. |
