Can you give us a little more information about what else you are looking for? Color, size and shape of leaves, would be a good place to start...

Ok, lets see. I already have 2 lace leaf varietals so for this one I would like a more solid maple leaf (do not know what that is called) like perhaps the shape of Fireglow or Pixie. Any color would be fine as they all are beautiful. I do not want it to become so large that it creates too much shade on the grass that is around the bed so looking for a tree that will remain somewhat short from 5 to 8 ft tall and not any wider than that. Cost is a consideration as well, nothing too rare ($$). Thank you.

Since your tree will have sun in the warmest part of the day, you should go for a maple that will do okay in full sun (even though it won't acually be in full sun). That's it, have a look at dwarf maples for full sun and you're sure to find something that tickles your fancy...
