| I live in Michigan zone 5. I have a nice spot for a weeping green in partial shade.
There are many Viridis grown here. I lost the top 1/2 of a 2" calipre AP Tamekuyama this spring so I was considering an AJ to increase hardiness and thats why I now have some interest in Green cascade. The site is pretty protected..more so than the AP tamek spot. Anyone have both? The Viridis seems to be consistently beautiful with fall color and forms a wonderful shape. i have an AJ acontifolium but have not seen a green cascade in person. Just wondering simply for appearance..any prefernces? Thanks |

| Handynursery.com opines that 'Green Cascade' has a more pleasing architecture (branching habit) than the weeping laceleaf maples. |

| GC is a superior tree IMHO and not so common place ..But I would advise getting a larger one ...the larger the root system the better chance it will have in the north. david |
