Help identify my parent's jp maple.

That's what I'm guessing my parents have. They have 2 of them, and one gets a lot of Dallas sunlight til mid-day. The other is pretty shaded. The one that gets sun is BRILLIANT. Absolutely stunning. My dad doesn't remember what cultivar it is. At first I was thinking shin deshojo, but then I picked one up from Eastwood Nurseries. Now I doubt it's shin deshojo. Different type of leaf. Theirs does not have the slightly glossy, wavy look. I took some pics of both. What do you guys think? Beni maiko?

The trees are probably about 25 years old, and were actually transplanted from their old house just 5 years ago.

I own about a dozen or so, and I would love to have one like this. If no one can id it, I may consider attempting to air layer it next spring.
