what do you think of Red Pygmy as foundation plant?

I need to replace a deciduous shrub that was in between a boxwood and a yew and in back of a spruce globusa and daphne Carol Mackie -- a bunch of meatballs. On the other side of the yew is a holly. ho hum.

I need to fill the space with something loose and luscious. I have a very small 'Red Pygmy' in another spot that I might move there. It would be barely visible for a while. But in full sun, might it grow a little faster than typical and fill in the spot in short order???

Here is the Red Pygmy last year. It was in a container its first 12-18 months home.

Here are some shots of the foundation. The long shot is when I was thinking maybe get another matching azalea like the foreground one.

The trellis and vine is there basically to fill the large gap between window and door. It doesn't need to be permanent. (its high maintenance and I am getting sick of it actually)
