| I'm looking for a small-medium size tree for full sun in zone 5 with decorative bark. Any others you can suggest besides Paperbark and Three Flower Maple?
This would be a shade tree in our small backyard. Thanks for you help! |

| Syringa pekinensis (Pekin Lilac) can develope exfoliating bark similar to A. griseum. Small tree along the lines of Japanese Tree Lilac. I've heard there's an impressive specimen at the Morton Arb, but haven't seen it myself. |
