I've seen this new, variegated maple a few times at local garden centers this Spring, but they are typically 4-5 feet tall and way too expensive (but incredibly beautiful). I've searched the web (including eBay) and can't find anyone selling smaller (1-2 foot) trees. I like to grow maples in containers, and I can't do that with a 5-foot tree.

Also, I know this is a relatively new one from NZ, but some wholesale place must be growing it in order to release 4-5 foot plants. Which also means it has to have been growing for a number of years to get that large.

Anyone know of a place selling smaller versions?
