Treatment recommendations

I've noticed some ugly spots on the leaves of various maples this year (see pic). What is it and what can I do about it? I assume its a fungus of some kind.

Along those lines, I also squashed my first Japanese Beetle of the year today! (Ughhh!)

So....

What are some fungicides that are safe for Japanese Maples? And what are some inseciticides that will stop the hordes of "chewers" who will soon emerge full force to wreak havock on my garden, and yet are safe for my maples? I prefer organic/safe but will resort to man-made/carcinogenic if I have to!!
