I have an Autumn Blaze Maple which was planted on May 8, that's about 12 to 15 feet tall with a 3 inch trunk. I was told to water it for an hour twice a week which I've been doing.
My leaves over the entire tree are changing color. I can't post a picture, but they look like the leaves that sdolancu posted on June 8 asking the same question. He was told it was new growth, but my leaves are changing all over the tree.
About 3 weeks ago, I discovered it was infested with gall mites. I've been told these will not kill the tree. I went to the nursery where I bough it and he said it apparently was missed when they were spraying. He gave me some Ferti-lome Tree and Shrub Systematic Insect Drench. He said to pour 10 oz. of this in a gallon of water and pour around the tree.which I've done.
There are no leaves falling off, just these strange colored leaves.Otherwise the tree looks good. Any idea what's going on before I go back to the nursery?
