Silver maple leaves turning in June...HELP!

Posted by angiejored 5 (My Page) on

I need help with my silver maple. I moved it from the woods in my parent's backyard to my yard last spring 2012. I did well in the drought we had last summer and I make sure I keep it watered. I did well until a few weeks ago, leaves were green and everything. Now the leaves look like this. HELP! What do I do...will it die?

Thank you

Early fall color is a common sign of drought stress.

Just why it's stressed may require some detective work on our part.

Just how tight is that trunk staked to the pole?

Well the lawn doesn't appear drought stressed, any chance you've hit it with weed and feed?
