No Fire in the Glow and Green Shaina

Hello,

I purchased a ten year old Shaina, I was told that it grew in full sun so that is the reason that the leaves have a lot of green. He said that my planting it in shade would help maintain the red next year.

I also just purchased a Fireglow at a firesale price from a reputable nursery. It has some green leaves and the red leaves are muted. They had some Crimson Queens and Tamukeyamas that also had a lot of green in them with muted reds. All these guys were growing in dappled shade in the nursery, so I assumed that's why the leaves were more green than red.

Does this make sense? Do you think that full sun will "Fire Up" my Fireglow and that the shade will redden the Shaina?
