Amur Maple Woes

Good morning. I'm a long time poster from Far North Gardening Forum.

I'm hoping you can help me.

I have a 4 year old Amur Maple. In it's second year I needed to give it iron. This year ( we've had a massive amount of rain and a cool spring) the new leaves are coming out reddish color, almost like fall is coming.

Would that possibly be the beginnings of iron clorosis even though it's so far not looking like the typical symptoms? Or maybe a nutrient deficiency in general? We have clay soil and it's in full sun.

I appreciate any suggestions you may have :)

The reddish colour of new growth is typical......no need to worry....as the leaves mature, they will turn green....
