A few maples from my gardens...

Hardly any sun this year so far so the colors are very muted compared to a normal year. Nevertheless, a few photos.

Hope you enjoy:

Acer palmatum 'Skeeter's Broom'. Normally MUCH more red, for lack of sun has made her purple this year.

Sharp's Pygmy'. Has to be one of the best dwarves. This guy is about 6 years old.

'Autumn Moon'. Believe it or not, at least 5-6 years old, very stunted, laterally growing, nice colors though usually more orangy/red by now.

A grouping: 'Auream(far right), 'Autumn Moon'(left), Nuresagi(back):

'Shirazz'. One of the best varigated maples.

A closeup:

'Bloodgood'. A bit boring to me in Summer.

'Moonrise'. Not nearly as colorful as 'Autumn Moon' in my opinion, strange colors.

'Shin De Shojo'. Took a beating with our 0 degree record cold week here in the PNW, but came out pushing great new rose/red growth into Summer.

Closeups

Hope you enjoyed.
