| I want to plant a Japanese Maple (Imperial) 5 feet from my in-ground pool, anyone know how deep/wide the roots will go and whether this may damange the pool walls in a few years? |

| Japanese Maples are shallow rooted but not invasive, like our native red and sugar maples. You should be fine. You can always root pune if you're worried, or put a plastic barrier between the side of the pool and the tree. K4 |
