Japanese Maple Nursery in northeast?

I am new to JM's and am looking for a nursery specializing in them. It seems to me that most of these are located on the west coast. Since I am located in upstate New York, I am hesitant to purchase these trees. Perhaps they will be shocked at our rather cold winters and either die or do poorly? Has anyone had luck with ordering these from a nursery in a warmer climate? Any thoughts, experiences, please let me know. Thank you, Amy

Here is a nursery in the Virginia mountains, probably closer to your climate than the west coast nurseries.

There is a great nursery near you called topiary gardens? Diana is awesome to deal with and has a wide selections of healthy trees. Topiary gardens is around syracuse NY. Good Luck
