If the descriptions say its an understory tree. it's unlikely to do well in full sun. If you want to experiment, here's your chance.

Ours are perfectly happy in full blistering sun with lots of competition. Growth rate has been up to 2.5'/year some years. Other years 1'/year. Have not had them long enough to but more specific on growth than that.

I would expect you to have no problems outside of maybe watering when very dry.
