Help...Bloodgood maple drying out!!!

Last spring we planted an 8 ft Bloodgood maple and a Crimson Queen maple; both 25 gal container size, 15 ft apart in a raised bed that gets partial sun. The CQ is doing fine but the Bloodgood began drying out at the ends of branches when 100F temps hit, and has progressively gotten worse regardless how much water it gets. About 50% of the leaves are now shriveled and crunchy. What can I do to stop this? Is it a goner? I could move it to a shadier location but I'm afraid the shock would be too much for it.
