Why is my Villa Taranto doesn't look like it!? :) w/photos!

(I finally attached pictures - sorry)

Hi,

I purchased 2 Villa Taranto trees last summer from different sources - 1 year old and 3 year old. The 3 year old tree was purchased from Mendocrino Maples. As you can see the trees look different. Only the lower set of leaves on the bigger VT looks like real 'VT' leaves. :) What's wrong?? Thank you

I don't have a copy of Vertrees in front of me, so I cant tell you for sure, but if Villa Taranto came off a particular branch of a different cultivar, it's possible that it reverted back to that cultivar.

I notice the leaves are green. In sun they'll have more color on them.
