bark cruling on silver maple

My silver maple is about 15 years old grown from a small sapling. It has had a straight, and very smooth trunk until this year. The bark is now curling and peeling. Is this age-related or should I be concerned? The foilage looks very healthy by the way.

Can't tell without seeing it. Could be natural aging of bark or could be a problem.
