Hi there, just curious if anyone had ever seen this type of new growth on a Japanese maple - new leaves are growing in mangled, twisted and narrow. My current growing conditions are:
* Grown in a container with AM sunlight and PM shade
* Layer of mulch on top to keep soil moist
* Watering twice a week
* Using a slow-release fertilizer
* Just added cottonseed meal to get the soil more acidic
* Looks like there's holes in the leaves, which implies that it's being eaten by some bugs, so currently spraying with Captain Jack's Dead Bug Brew
Has anybody ever seen anything like this? Not sure what I'm doing wrong ... All the old leaves have their full shape without any deformation. Thanks!
