I planted a generic Japanese Maple in my front yard, in the middle of the lawn in an exposed area away from any other plants. We have quite a few windy days here on the northern CA coast and the leaves are dry and brown on their edges. Are there Japanese Maple varieties that would do better in a location like mine? Thanks.
