Bloodgood Acer Palmatum leaves turning brown

I have a bloodgood acer palmatum in the same location for 3 years and it has been doing great, until a few weeks ago when the leaves started curling and turning brown. Now most are brown or have fallen. No problem conditions with sun, watering or anything else. I have two identical trees 15 feet away that are thriving. No evidence of mildew, spots or fungal infection that I can see. Any help please?
