I have a Coral Bark Japanese Maple that has special meaning to me and my wife. I have kept it in the shade but was unaware it was getting a lot of direct light under the patio during the day. We are in Dallas Tx and I fear it got too scorched and is dying. There is still some red in the bark but most of the branches are very dark now and all of the leaves have fallen off. This has happened before and after a week or so we started to get new leaves. This time, however, I do not see any new growth. Any chance of saving the tree?
