Oh, Yes, Another Maple ID If You Will (Santa Fe, NM) ...

I saw this tree on a trip to Santa Fe, NM over the weekend. My only experience growing Maples is with Tridents and Japanese Maples. While these leaves have 3 lobes, the middle one seems too elongated to be a Trident.

Any ideas? It was used as a landscape tree, so it may or may not be indigenous.

I would really appreciate your thoughts.

Aha, that seems to be a very good ID. Thanks so much! I'm glad it's a bonsai-suitable species--I grabbed a bunch of samaras!
