| I got a tiny little Inaba Shidare today that I would like to groom into something special in a few years. I am wondering how much sun is required to maintain its red coloring. The location I am thinking of right now gets probably 3 hours of sun around noon and filtered shade the rest of the time. |

| They may be sufficient although if possible, I'd try to stretch that to at least 5 hours of morning sun. Afternoon shade is fine. 'Inaba Shidare' is considered to be very sun tolerant, but in hot climates, I'd offer some late afternoon protection. |
