| found this on the tree yesterday. several branches are covered with it. it brakes off easily and is wet on the inside. can anyone tell me what it is , if its dangerous for the tree and how to treat it. thank you |

| Questions for you: 1. Can you easily lift the white stuff off the branch with a thumbnail? If so, likely a wax scale (insect); remove all and watch for more. 2. Is the white stuff stuck to the wood and appear to come out of the branch? If so, likely the white is a fungus that is growing from wood which was already dead. |

| yes, they easily come off. and no those brencheres are not dead . |
