Deer ate all the leaves

I have a one gallon yasemin maple in a container in my front yard. While I was out of town deer ate almost every leaf off. The petioles are still in tact, it just meticulously ate every leaf. It wasnt going dormant yet. Will it regrow leaves now only to have them frozen off later? anything I should do?

It might help if we knew where you live...in fact everyone using this forum should put their zone and state or city and state in the profile ...so we wouldn't constantly be asking this crucial info...that is often necessary to accuratly or at least attempt to accuratly answer many questions that come up...without this we are just shooting blindly into the night in many cases ..David
