This past summer I lost a 6 year old Acer Manchuricum to....well, I don't know just what happened. The trunk was completely girdled at ground level and looked as if it had been weed-whacked, but I don't use one so that wasn't it. Anyway, it was just taking off and was in the midst of a real growth spurt, and I was very sorry to lose it. I have checked all the big nurseries around here and can't find a replacement, and wonder if anybody knows of a good mail source because I really want another one. Thanks.
