It is a mounding dissectum...although when young seems a bit more upright for some reason ..... it does have a orange tint . lt's orange/red/green in spring and fall mostly green in summer with some red on newer leaves...My young one as well as the pics on the eastwoods cd actually look more like a fine toothed leafed Linearilobum....but is a dissectum in form..eventually..David

It looks to be old. The caliper is at least 2 inches.

This cd along with Vertrees is all you really need in most cases for cultivar ID although there are and I have several other sources i find these two work well together.and never use anything else.
Of course with so many "new" culivars each year any reference material will always have it's limits ... and you will have to often rely on seller or grower for accurate and hopefully complete cultivar info ( so buying from a reliable seller or grower is important)... the JO is not real new since it is mentioned by name in Vertrees 3rd edition but by name only...obtaining a nice caliper larger JO is special and you shopuld be happy with it from what I have seen..

OOOPS I ment cultivar INFORMATION.... NOT ID ... I think in most cases having "blind" culivar ID is an oxymoron. IE: "Here's a photo of my pretty little plant I got real cheap at Lowes but it has no tag can you ID it please".. It's really like horseshoes and hand granades... OK if you can live with possibles probables liklies or other such hedge terms... But then why bother IMHO cause you can never state with any real certainty ..David
