Shirazz Maple

This is my new maple tree its called a shirazz maple i was wondering if its in a to small pot and can i shift it as its summer here?

Do you intend to keep it in a pot? If so, then yes, it should be potted up but best to wait until it loses its leaves and begins to go dormant before repotting. It's a bit too stressful on the tree to do so in summer.

Since this tree can get to be 15-20' in height eventually, I'd consider a properly roomy container for it when you do replant. You will still need to root prune and repot periodically and be sure to pay careful attention to potting medium and all the other necessary requirements of container grown JM's.

Ok thanks so i will have to wait until winter to repot? I just checked the bottom and it hasnt got roots through the bottom yet so it should be ok for awhile in this pot. thanks for the help
