Nice gardening book for specialty growers

Those involved in growing for chefs will enjoy The Food Lovers Garden by Mark Diacomo. Mark is the gardener for River Cottage, a name familiar to anyone interested in the principles of "less dependence on the outside world, food integrity, and the consumption of local, seasonal produce." There are plenty of good resources for those who want to raise standard varieties for run-of-the-mill markets, for those of us pursuing a higher return, or more epicurean markets, this is a useful book.

Here is a link that might be useful: River Cottage

What a beautiful area of England. We wil be in Leicester either in March or August of this year - it's a bit far but sooo pretty - might be worth a trip down.
