flooding issue

There is a creek at the back of our property that floods occasionally. It is not fast running water or deep, just comes up into the property and minimalizes what can be used for crops. I am looking for ideas. I would really like to use that area for blackberries but was unsure of how much the plants can tolerate. The fruiting of the berries would be much past the flooding time. I had also wondered about creating raised beds with the sand tubes for establishing a strawberry crop. Any ideas would be appreciated.
