A question for website store owners

Hi,

I'm getting close to going "live" using Website Payments Pro from Paypal that gives my customers the option of paying through Paypal or entering their card info into my secure site. I can also accept checks.

But I have this nagging distrust of Paypal and feel like I should go with a "real" gateway and merchant account (like Authorize.net) even though the startup and monthly costs (especially at low volume) would be higher.

Does anyone here have an opinion or advice either way?

Also, do you get a lot of buyers who actually prefer Paypal or say they bought from you because you could accept paypal payments?

Thanks,

Ron
