Sprayer Value

Hi- I am thinking of buying a used mistblower sprayer, a Hardi LB 255. It was used for a few years in the late 90's and then has been stored in a shed for the last 15 years. The sprayer has been been out of production so long it's not in Hardi's system. Does anyone have an idea of how to come up with a value for a piece of equipment like this? Or where I could go to find this kind of information?

Also, any thoughts on what should be done to a sprayer like this that has sat in a shed with a dirt floor for 15 years?

I found one listed in the Lancaster Farm News from May of last year in a dealer's ad for $3250 but that's one that is working and not sitting for 15 years. I assume that you've had a chance to see it and determine how much work it is going to take to get it back into operating condition - hoses, belts, seals and the like. I would assume that at a minimum your going to have to rebuild the carb unless it was prepped for long term storage. I would offer a couple hundred bucks to start with the negotiating position that you may well have to put additional hundreds back into it. Good luck and keep us posted.
