Last year I grew some Bhuts for the first time. The seeds were rather slow to germinate but the little plants grew nicely. After I planted them out in the garden we got rain day after day after day. The Bhuts got a disease and I pulled them all up and threw them out. However, I had planted a dozen plants in big pots and they did very well. They are a long season type and it was the end of September before I got red ripe pods.

I grew 127 other varieties and despite all the rain i had a good crop and sales at the market were the best ever.

That is a lot of hot peppers! It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing the picture, I love to see others market pictures. You must live in an area where a lot of people love hot peppers. I did not grow a ton of hot peppers but the ones that I did have were not my best sellers.

I just grew the more common types like Cheyennes and Jalapenos. I considered growing some larger hot pepper varieties that could be used for stuffing. I did have some requests for those.

Gorgeous display! Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat as bagardens with the hot peppers - they just don't sell well. From serranos to jalapenos to poblanos - they just do not move, although we do sell more hot pepper plants than fruits. Sweet peppers do a lot better for us.
