popcorn shoots

| anyone familiar with this product ... popcorn shoots ?
the only thing i know about this is that they blanch the shoots of a popcorn and harvest it within a week or so.
what i can't find about is the seed source of this popcorn shoots.
any help is appreciated. thanks |

| Are you referring to a type of Millet? The seedheads of millets have some resemblance to corn ears. I can't imagine that anyone would find young seedlings of any of the corn species to be tasty. |

| i do a bunch of differant "shoots" i call them macrogreens:) use popcorn seed, the cheapest you can find as long as it has a good germination rate. blanched they are moonshoots and are very very sweet. a good web site is sprout people. go to the greens section. enjoy! |

| hi stan, do you blanch them before it sprout out from your growing media or you blanch them all the way ... from first day to harvest ? how many days does it take to grow from seed to harvest ? |
