Hanging Basket 10' vs 12'

Up until this year, we have always just grown 10" hanging baskets. Our customer want big beautiful baskets; however, 10" baskets seem to dry out faster. So, this year we are growing 10" and 12" baskets. Of course, 12" baskets take twice as many plants which is a plus for the end product. But, does anyone know if they retain moisture better? We are growing in pulp pots.

Have you considered adding moisture crystals to your mix?

we add 2 teaspoons per 10" pot. I'm beginning to think it is the supertunias. Our basket here on the farm get to be about 5 feet long by the end of july, and on hot days they tend to be dry if not watered twice. So, If you forget to water one day.....
Maybe we should add more than two teaspoons?

Do you mind sharing what you charge for your 10" baskets? Kind thanks...Victoria
