I always sold out of Easter Egg radishes even when other vendors had stacks of the regular red ones for half the price. People bought them just because they look so pretty. Not such a good seller in the fall though (radishes generally).

As for the peas, snap peas were best, then snow (sugar) peas. I didn't bother with regular shelling peas, plenty of other vendors had them and sold them cheap. I sold my snaps in small 1/4 lb bags for $2 and sold out every day... offered people samples and they bought more often than not.

give the German Giant radishes a try. Nice, perfectly round, never splits or gets pithy to golf-ball size and beyond. Others that had them made mine look pitiful. Some people balked when they grew them too big, but the quality was excellent evn into the large sizes. I'm sold and bought some for this season. French Breakfast radish is my best seller. Long reddish pink with white tip. Easy & Fast grower.
As for peas Sugar Snaps and snow peas (Oregon Giant)both sell well. Customers don't want to bother with shelling type(Engish Pea).

French breakfast. In the fall I grew the big chinese winter radishes with pale green skin and red heart - big sellers.

I've always been intrigued by these - can you tell me how they compare in taste to more familiar radishes like "French Breakfast" & cherry types?
