Almost finished

I spent another whole Saturday finishing the doors, adding back the center purlin and started tearing down the inner tunnel.

It sure was nice to work "Inside" on this project as the wind was blowing 25-35 mph outside.

A few more pics, if you don't mind.

A little closer picture. The two big 8 foot doors actually pull down. They are "pinned" up as they are now and they slide down to the center board. Then when it is warmer, I can drop them all the way to the ground for more ventilation. In the halfway position, I can let out warm air and keep any cold breezes off the plants. Hope it works.

where do you get your plastic? What type is it? I think that was my biggest problem was all the shredded plastic. 'course I'm talking about a 15'x10' hoophouse.

Wyobluesky, I am guessing that you used construction plastic from the hardware store? It doesn't have the UV inhibitors and it will break down in time.

For you I am going to suggest that you check out the link below. It is greenhouse megastore. They have a 12 foot by 25 foot piece for $34.00. Just cut off the extra and you will be in business.

You could also check out the Farmtek closeouts and see if a size would fit.

Nice JR - I love to see your pics. You sure are a hard worker!

Is this one moveable too? We have 3 high tunnels - 1 doubles as a hoophouse - as it has a double layer, and we heat it for a couple months to grow on plants. None of them are moveable - maybe some day.....

No, this one isn't movable, unless mother nature makes it move! Hopefully, that will never happen.
