It will depend a lot on what's in the mix, and how big it is when you harvest it. Also, if you harvest in the evening the weight will be a lot less (as much as half less) as it will if you harvest in the morning, especially if it's been a sunny day. And it won't keep as well.

The only sure number I can give you is for pea shoots. We get 1 pound out of two 1020 trays (about 10 inches by 20 inches), harvsted at 4-5 inches tall.

If it helps to visualize, 9-12 pounds of our straight lettuce mix (we do larger leaves than most mesclun) would be a large kitchen trash bag FULL.

Ohiorganic, do you harvest the whole bed twice a week? That is some mighty fast growing greens!! So if I have this right- you harvest one bed for a week and a half and get 3 cuttings for a total of 30lbs? How tall are the greens when you cut them and what is in your mix?
