Plastic Mulch Layer

Here is the 75% finished mulch layer I have been building.

I am waiting on more Ubolts to be shipped, they only had 6 and I needed 12. I added the wheel and rear disc hiller on one side to see how it would work.

I still need to attach a roller to hold the plastic down, the white pvc pipe is the pretend one. I have the brackets made, but I need to drill some holes.

I also need to make a drip tape attachment.

(You know how I feel about the plastic)
But that aside, your mulch layer looks awesome!

Looks great. How much time/labor have you put into it?

Time/Labor, probably more than I should have! Since I have no plans and I mocking up, building, rebuilding and then finalizing things, I probably have about 6-8 hours build time into it. Most of which could be a lot less if I had a better plans made up first.

Cutting and drilling holes has been the most time consuming. The actual welding and bolting the pieces together has been about 2 hours (with too much talking in between)

No matter how much time you have in building it, I can image how much time and labor you'll be saving once you start using it. Of course, I'm sure you'll be tweaking it once you use it.
