picked a few so far. i never have seen them this early. i think in a week or so there will be enough to sell. last year they were earlier than expected too but not this early.

Mine are only in their second year from seeds - but they are up! Just found them yesterday.

We plowed ours under, 2 years with no evidence, they're gone (maybe).

We are still getting snow. I have been trying to amend the beds and weed them in between storms. We don't usually have asparagus until May 1st, I don't think it will be early this year. I do have garlic peeking out though. I am so sick of the cold, ready for spring.

Our weather has been the warmest March since 1938, and the plants are LOVING it.

We are like that too, Marla. Usually the snow is gone by April 1st but it was gone two weeks ago. I have planted so many things already that with normal conditions I wouldn't.

With about 1/3 of the month of March either in the 80s or very near, this weekend calling for possible frost. Just can't count on Mother Nature being consistent.

I think the west coast is going to be late this year. Asparagus just started to emerge 2 weeks ago and we had 4 inches of snow yesterday (in Oregon). The cold seems to have slowed it down quite a bit.

I have been picking for about 5 days and should have enough to start selling today or tomorrow
