Looking for commercial source grafted heirloom tomatoes

Posted by fruiter (My Page) on

Does anyone know of a commercial source for grafted heirloom tomato plugs? I recall an article, last year, in Growing for Market with a grower but can't find the article. Thanks for any info!

Hi Fruiter,
I saved the article and put it with my tomatoe info. The issue was May 2008 and George DeVault wrote the article. His email is gdevault@ptd.net
Johnny's sells the Maxifort rootstock; however the article did not state where you could purchase the actual plugs.

I saw a place called Hunter's Tomato Patch that sells them (and ships). You are supposed to order by Feb 15th, but maybe they will have some surplus. We have a place in NC that sells them too, but they are a couple hours from me and don't ship. Wish I could get my hands on some. Those of us tortured by soilborne disease could use some beautiful tomatoes.
