Got a call from the OH Dept. of Ag

Rocky Black had contacted the village of Lockland (where my project is) as part of his outreach program to promote agriculture in urban areas. The village manager gave him my name and e-mail, plus I wrote him about what we are trying to do. Very much interested in the Brownfields to Greenfields concept.

The conversation did not lead to any earth-shattering news but he does plan to follow the progress via my web site. I suppose if it is successful, even on the scaled-back version, the state may provide some assistance in the future. There are hundreds of acres of brownfields in Hamilton County - more than enough to feed the metro area, at least during the growing season.
