If you do not have a market than all your hard work will be for nothing. Just because it is grown does not mean it will sell.

Work on creating a market before planting or you will be stuck with a lot of mint, mushrooms, et. al..

how does one go about creating a market? It woukd seem a big waste to watch all this goodness growing and not being able to use it! I've found a site with a little bit of info (www.matsiman.com)but I still need more info for other non-timber forest products.

Creating a market takes time. Find a farmers market, start a mail order company, ask restaurants if they want your stuff, find a wholesaler. Set up a road side stand (though you will have to advertise that)

Morels did you say morels..lol I have lots of people who would love them including me! I miss them and havent had any in about 7 years and really love them. Im sure there is a market if you had them available.
