Does anyone know of a planter made for the market gardener to plant onion and garlic bulbs? (30 lbs. of onion sets are rough on the back)

RE: Onion bulb planter

you are so right. I don't know of one, but what I do is....run my KY culavator down, with the plow on it, drop the onion sets, then run it back down, throwing the dirt over the top of sets. Sometimes I need to "cover" 2x.

Good luck.

We transplant onions that we grow from seed using the small stand and plant.

I assume it could work for bulbs also, but doubt it would place the garlic bulb properly.

We are testing the larger one this year with other transplants.

Here is a link that might be useful: Stand and Plant
