You have an insane amount of plants this year Jay! Looking great! Not having too bad of a "spring" here either. The clear plastic has really accelerated growth.

Need to weave mine they are going to lay over soon. Nights are still cool and heavy frosts still possible, still need the protection of covers.

WOW, JOE! I am jealous! You will be picking very early this year too! When did you get those peppers out? I just put mine out 2 weeks ago. I wanted sooner, but there was always something coming up to do. Finally, I just put my foot down and got it done!

april 3rd on the peppers, seeded feb 4. I have made a break thru in growing. Warm soil temps are key.

When I had potted peppers up I put some on a grow mat cause that is where I had a light on. They went nuts on the grow mat and filled out a 4 inch pot in 2 weeks. They were giants compared to the rest. After that I put everything on grow mats and the root formation was insane. Discovering that, I double dug my beds added a lot of peat and inch of rough manure compost and a little lime. Beds are 6-8" tall and before I put the plastic down applied preen. I was able to get 100 + degree soil temps in march (2 " depth) tunnel closed up. After cutting the plastic and planting the soil temps at a 4" depth stay about 65-75 cool cloudy days upper 50's.
