| I am new to selling my produce, and am wondering what any of you are selling ready-to-eat baby spinach leaves for? How much in each bag?
Thanks, Toni |

| The only grower at our market selling baby spinach sells it for $3.50 a quarter pound. We sell regular spinach in half pound bags for $3.50. |

| I sell full sized spinach for $8 pound. If I had baby spinach I would charge $4 for 1/4 pound (I notice at Krogers baby spinach that looked bad was $4 for 5 oz) |

| Thanks so much for you input, Growing Gals! Produce around our part of Kentucky is a dismal picture. People are enjoying having a few different things available from us - hope we are up to growing more and finding our niche! Good season toya, Toni |

| What do you consider "baby" when you sell? I pick the leaves and sometimes the leaves are larger than I would like but I pick every 4 or 5 days so they are still quite young leaves. Is there a standard? |

| What I do for baby spinach is plant the spinach thickly so I have to thin out 80% of the plants to get to 6" spacing for big plants. the thinnings are the baby spinach. Much less time consuming than picking leaves every few days. |
