need help! dreaming of flower busines

Hello all, I am brand new to this wonderful find of a forum. I live on approx. 5 acres and have always gardened in my "city" home. I have been thinking of starting a cut flower business (very small) not for main income but for suppliment. A friend who works in a nursery-and has more plant knowlege than myself wants to start a crop of peonies. This sounds great to me and thought why not add a lot more cut flowers? I would like to hear from some of you who sell at markets..is this the only outlet? do any of you sell to your local florists? I would also like to know what kind of money are we talking aobut here in terms of investment and profit? I have approx. 2 acres to devote. I am very excited as I see a no-lose situation. The worst that could happen is that you beautify your property right? Also, any help from anyone who specifically grows peonies would be appreciated.
Thanks so much!
lalinda
